Mary Erdoes, Head of Asset Management at
JPMorgan Chase, noted that all the factors that ensured price stability that began with the Russian invasion of Ukraine disappeared. Erdoes said, "In general, geopolitical issues will not have a long-term impact on markets unless there are significant commodity shocks. This time, though, we are confronted with a similar issue."
Mary Erdoes, President of the American investment bank JPMorgan Asset Management, said that it is difficult to determine how long the invasion of Ukraine will have an impact and may be longer-lasting than previous geopolitical problems.
President Erdoes, who also shared his expectations regarding the Federal Reserve Bank of America (FED), stated that the monetary policy will be shaped somewhat depending on the war, and said, "Nobody knows how high the interest rates will rise, but we know that a huge amount of money is pumped into the economy."
