Mexican stock markets rose after Monday's close, with shares in the Materials, Industrials and Basic Consumer Goods sectors rising.
The S&P/BMV IPC rose 0.92% at the close of the Mexican stock market.
Bimbo A (BMV:BIMBOA), trading below the S&P/BMV IPC and the best performer of the session, is up 6.11% or 4.02 points at 69.83. Meanwhile, Grupo Financiero Inbursa (BMV:GFINBURO) is trading at 32.81, up 4.29% or 1.35 points, while Grupo Carso A1 (BMV:GCARSOA1) is trading at 76.85, up 3.15% or 2.35 points.
Alsea (BMV:ALSEA), the worst performer of the session, fell 2.92% or 1.10 points to close at 36.60. Coca-Cola Femsa SAB de CV (BMV:KOFUBL) is trading at 113.42, down 0.79% or 0.90 points, while Grupo Televisa SAB Unit (BMV:TLEVISACPO) is trading at 33.19, down 0.57% or 0.19 points.
The number of stocks gaining on the Mexican Stock Exchange was 77, while the number of stocks losing value was 51. In addition, 11 stocks remained stable.
Bimbo A (BMV:BIMBOA) shares rose 6.11% or 4.02 to an all-time high of 69.83.
Gold Futures for August delivery gained 0.38% or 6.80 to trade at $1.00 an ounce. Elsewhere in commodities, August Crude Oil WTI Futures are trading at $110.60 a barrel, up 2.00% or 2.17. Meanwhile, Brent Oil Futures for September delivery are trading at $113.81 a barrel, up 1.95% or 2.18%.
USD/MXN is trading up 0.21% at 20.29 while EUR/MXN is trading up 0.18% at 21.16.
Dollar Index Futures are trading at 104.97, up 0.06%.
