Vedat Bilgin, Minister of Labor and Social Security, created excitement with a statement that concerns millions. Bilgin said, "Turkey is in a position to implement a regulation that will make all employees smile in July."
In his speech at the 35th year program of the Labor Economics Research Society, Minister Bilgin made explanations on minimum wage earners.
Vedat Bilgin, Minister of Labor and Social Security, said, "The Covid-19 period has led to a major economic crisis on a global scale. After the 2008 crisis, the world is facing a new one. These economic shocks we encountered after Covid-19 are expected to be heavier to countries like Turkey which are a few steps away from 1 million dollars.
European countries and all parts of the world are affected by this. But Turkey continues on its way as one of the three growing economies in this process. This is also very important. The growth figures in the industry were announced yesterday.
Turkey continues this growth despite economic fluctuations and inflation. Therefore, it is our duty to protect workers and labor against the destruction of inflation. We will not let our employees be oppressed by inflation. So we have the July period ahead of us.
We continue to work with our employees, which includes not only public retirees and public employees, but also private sector retirees, Bağkur people and retirees in various positions, not only to support the inflation gap, but also to support their social positions.
In other words, in July, Turkey is in a position to implement a regulation that will make all employees smile and at least make them say 'My state is with me' against inflation.
