Minister Elvan Evaluated the G20 Meeting

Minister Elvan evaluated the G20 meeting. Elvan said, "We drew attention to the inflation pressure that started to pose a global threat."

Lütfi Elvan, Minister of Treasury and Finance, stated that G20 countries drew attention to the inflationary pressure that started to pose a global threat in their meetings. Attending the third G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors meeting this year hosted by the G20 Term President, Italy, in Venice, Minister Elvan shared his assessment on his Twitter account after the first day. Minister Elvan said, "We completed the first day of the G20 Ministerial Meeting. We drew attention to the inflationary pressure that started to pose a global threat. We expressed our views under the title of International Financial Architecture. We mentioned the importance of Multilateral Development Banks in the fight against the pandemic." In addition, Minister Elvan also held bilateral meetings within the framework of the meeting. Meeting separately with his Mexican counterpart, Arturo Herrera Gutierrez, and his Argentine counterpart, Martin Guzman, Elvan met with his US counterpart, Janet Yellen, French Economy and Finance Minister Bruno Le Maire, and South Korean Economy and Finance Minister Nam-Ki Hong during the morning part of the meeting.
