Minister Koca: Vaccine Procurement Is Getting Difficult
Minister Koca used the expressions "Vaccine procurement is getting difficult ..." for the next two months. Koca said they agreed for Sputnik V vaccine.
Health Minister Fahrettin Koca said, "The vaccine supply is getting harder for the next two months, but it is expected that there will be an abundance of vaccines afterwards."
Providing information on the subject, Minister Koca said:
"Vaccine supply is getting harder for the next two months, but afterwards there will be an abundance of vaccines.
Turkey signed an agreement to receive 50 million doses of the Sputnik V vaccine in 6 months. The first shipment will take place in May. Preparation of the trials for phase-3 of the Native inactivated vaccine will begin in the next few days. This is the last step before widespread use. "
Health Minister Koca continued his words as follows:
"The time between two doses of (Covid-19) BioNtech vaccine was decided to be applied as 6-8 weeks. In Istanbul, 5 of our citizens had an Indian variant. This variant was seen for the first time and cases are monitored under isolation."
