Ministry of Environment Brought Profit to the Economy from 385.6 Tons of Waste
The Ministry of Environment and Urbanization brought profit to the economy from 385.6 tons of waste within the scope of the Zero Waste Project.
The Ministry of Environment and Urbanization profited from hundreds of tons of waste. 385.6 tons of waste was recycled back into the economy in the main service building of the Ministry.
The Minister of Environment and Urbanization, Murat Kurum, who posted on his Twitter account, shared a video explaining the gains obtained over the period of 42 months within the scope of the Zero Waste Project.
In the video in question, it was recorded that 385.6 tons of recyclable waste was brought back into the economy in the main service building of the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization in a period of 42 months.
The video also included detailed information about the project, in which 204.6 tons of paper and cardboard were recycled and 3 thousand 478 trees were prevented from being cut down.

“With the recycling of 90.8 tons of plastic waste, one thousand 479 barrels of oil was saved. In addition, 29.7 tons of glass waste, 19.8 tons of metal waste, 22.6 tons of organic waste, 11.7 tons of food waste, 6 thousand 580 Biodiesel was produced from 1 liter of vegetable oil waste. As a result of the gains, 42.7 tons of greenhouse gas emissions were prevented by using 51 tons of ore. In addition, 13.9 tons of compost and 6.6 tons of biodiesel were obtained.”
