Despite the decline Germany placed in first among the list of countries receiving exports from Turkey. In the January-August period of 2020, exports to the UK decreased by 16.9 percent and reached billion 820 million 796 thousand dollars. Exports to Italy decreased by 24.8 percent to 4 billion 464 million 534 thousand dollars and to Iraq with a decrease of 7.7 percent to 4 billion 327 million 533 thousand dollars. Exports to the USA increased by 2.8 percent to 5 billion 279 million 170 thousand dollars. Top Selling Products to Germany In the first 9 months of the year 2 billion 126 million 390 thousand dollars of automotive, 1 billion 958 million 154 thousand dollars of clothing and garments, 614 million 509 thousand dollars worth of ferrous and non-ferrous metal products were exported from Turkey to Germany. 430 million 752 thousand dollar of machine components , 330 million 251 thousand dollars of air-conditioning industry products, 274 million 377 thousand dollars of nuts and nut related products, 166 million 697 thousand dollars of fruit and vegetable products, 74 million 239 thousand dollars of leather and leather products, placing the country as the top buyer of these industries.   UK Ranks Second in Demand In the first 8 months of the year, UK was the second country with the highest export volume, 840 million 618 thousand dollars of electronics, 760 million 278 thousand dollars of jewelry, 118 million 270 thousand dollars of dried fruits and products were exported to the United Kingdom. Cement, glass, ceramic and soil products, carpet, defense and aviation industry, olive and olive oil were sold to the USA, the third country that is the most popular country for Turkish products. During the period in question, 292 million 367 thousand dollars of cement, glass, ceramic and soil products, 525 million 620 thousand dollars of carpet, 469 million 47 thousand dollars of defense and aviation industry, 31 million 212 thousand dollars of olive and olive oil were exported to the USA. Textile and Raw Material Request from Italy 390 million 525 thousand dollars of exports were made to Italy in the January-August period. The sectors in which Italy demanded the most were textiles and raw materials. Iraq bought cereals, pulses, oil seeds and products worth 831 million 877 thousand dollars, furniture, paper and forestry products worth 524 million 764 thousand dollars, and aquaculture and animal products worth 284 million 513 thousand dollars, and these three has become the leader of the industry. In addition, during January-August Israel with steel, France with other industrial products, Norway with ships and yachts, Netherlands with chemicals and products with ornamental plants and their products, China with mining products, Iran with tobacco, Russian Federation the fresh fruit and vegetable placed Turkey's biggest markets for aforementioned produtcs.
