Musk Welcomes The Idea Of A New Use Case For Dogecoin
Musk welcomes the idea of a new use case for Dogecoin. Elon Musk continues to support Dogecoin.
World-renowned billionaire Elon Musk is warm to the idea of creating a hot tub powered by Dogecoin mining.
Elon Musk, the founder and CEO of electric vehicle manufacturer Tesla, got the idea to develop a hot tub that would work with the heat generated by Dogecoin mining. The idea in question came from the Twitter account of the well-known cryptocurrency portfolio follower Blockfolio.
Considering that Musk accepted
DOGE for a satellite mission and is already leading the development of Dogecoin, there is talk in the markets that this could be the next project.
According to ByteTree data, even though the coin was created as a joke, its revenues increased by over 4,500% in 2021 due to increased transaction fees and its miners made a significant amount of money.
Dogecoin is a Scrypt-based cryptocurrency that is less energy-intensive than Bitcoin. Due to the binary mining model, it can only be mined along with other cryptocurrencies like Litecoin.
In fact, the idea of converting heat from miners is hardly new. In early 2018, Czech entrepreneur Kamil Brejcha was on the agenda by replacing traditional heaters with mining equipment to grow tomatoes in his greenhouse.
