According to information on their websites, Nasdaq Inc. and Intercontinental Exchange Inc. (ICE.N) NYSE have decided to halt trading in shares of Russian telecom operator Mobile TeleSystems PJSC, mining and steel company Mechel PAO, and real estate company Cian PLC.
In addition, some Russian companies were suspended, including search engine operator Yandex and online retailer Ozon Holdings, which are listed on the Nasdaq Stock Exchange.
It was stated that the decision to stop the trading of stocks of Russian companies was temporary while the regulatory teams were examining the new sanctions.
