The NBA is launching its 18,000 Ethereum-based NFT collection called “The Association” today. If we look at the details of the NFT collection in question, each Association NFT represents a real NBA player. Each player from 16 different
NBA teams participating in the Play-Offs will each have 75 NFTs.
In addition, NFTs have a dynamic structure. It will evolve based on the real-life performance of each player. So a certain number of dunks, blocks, three-pointers, rebounds or assists will change that player's image.
NFT backgrounds and frames will also change based on the player's performance.
Finally, the NBA website, also announced that NFTs can be printed for free. However, it also noted that interested collectors will have to pay the cost of gas in Ethereum.
