Naci Ağbal, who was dismissed as the Governor of the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT), underlined the goal of achieving a permanent decrease in inflation in his first statement.
Şahap Kavcıoğlu made the following statements:
"The Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey will continue to use monetary policy tools effectively in line with its main goal of achieving a permanent decrease in inflation within the framework of duties and authority determined by the Law.
While the decline in inflation will positively affect macroeconomic stability through the decline in country risk premiums and permanent improvement in financing costs, it will also contribute to the creation of the necessary conditions for sustainable growth that will increase investment, production, exports and employment.
In this context, the Monetary Policy Committee meetings will be held in accordance with the schedule previously announced to the public, and communication channels with all stakeholders will be used effectively in line with the principles of transparency and predictability in policies to be implemented.
