Şahap Kavcıoğlu, the new Governor of the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT), met with the general managers of the banks in the Board of Directors of the Turkish Banks Association (TBB).
Şahap Kavcıoğlu, who was appointed as the Governor of the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT) after Naci Ağbal was dismissed by the Presidential decree, held his first meeting with the bankers.
According to the information that Bloomberg HT obtained from senior bankers, CBRT Governor Kavcıoğlu gave three basic messages at the meeting with the bank's general managers. It was stated at the meeting that Kavcıoğlu underlined that the primary priority of the Central Bank will continue to fight against inflation. The other main messages Kavcıoğlu gave are the signals that there will be no change in the policies of the Central Bank in the new period and that he will continue where Naci Ağbal left off.
