The liter price of diesel, which will be valid from midnight tonight, has been increased by 1 lira and 96 cents. After the hike, the price of a liter of diesel increased from 18.67 lira to 20.63 lira in Istanbul and from 18.78 lira to 20.74 lira in Ankara and Izmir.
In the statement made by EMRA, a meeting was held at the request of EMRA President Mustafa Yılmaz, with the participation of the representatives of the distribution and dealer associations of the fuel sector, PET-DER, PÜİS, ADER, and TABGİS.
At this meeting, where the managers of TÜPRAŞ and STAR Refinery were also present, the situation in the fuel sector and the margin sharing issue, which has been on the agenda for a while, were evaluated in the speech. The speech included the phrases, "First of all, we would like to emphasize once again that fuel prices are formed under free market conditions. The most important factors in this formation are oil prices and movements in foreign exchange. In addition, prices take their final form with taxes and the distributor's plus dealer share. EMRA, which has the task of constantly monitoring price formation, does not directly interfere with these prices.”
