After his meeting with Boris Johnson, von der Leyen shared a post on his social media account, stating that it was a "lively and interesting" meeting, and noted the following statements:

Stating that the
European Union (EU) and UK negotiation teams will meet immediately to resolve the remaining issues, von der Leyen announced that a decision will be reached by the end of the weekend. Prior to his Brussels visit, Boris Johnson had also said that reaching agreement in the Brexit talks seemed very difficult.
On the other hand, the British Prime Ministry Office stated that "a sincere meeting" was held.
