Norton Introduced A Cryptocurrency Mining Feature
Antivirus company Norton is preparing to offer its users a new feature called "Norton Crypto" soon.
Norton introduced a cryptocurrency mining feature. Antivirus company Norton will soon allow users to mine cryptocurrencies “safely and easily” with a new feature called “Norton Crypto.” In the official statement made by the company, as of today, certain Norton 360 customers will be included in the Ethereum mining program.
Norton claims that the new feature allows one to securely mine Ethereum without exposing one's computer to risks with unexamined codes. It is stated that all Ethereum issued through the program will be deposited in a cloud-based Norton wallet.
Making a statement on the subject, Norton CEO Vincent Pilette said, "While the
crypto economy continues to be a more important part of our customers' lives, we want to enable them to mine cryptocurrencies with Norton, a brand they trust."
Norton's manager, Gagan Singh, said:
“We are proud to be the first cybersecurity company to enable cryptocurrency miners to turn their computer idle time into an opportunity to earn digital currency safely and easily. With Norton Crypto, our customers can mine cryptocurrencies with just a few clicks, bypassing many barriers to entry into the cryptocurrency ecosystem.”
The Norton Crypto feature is expected to be available to all users in the coming weeks.
