OpenSea Will Start Selling NFTs With Credit Cards
OpenSea will start selling NFTs with credit cards. Those who want to buy NFT will not need to have cryptocurrency wallets.
OpenSea, one of the most popular NFT marketplaces, is starting to receive NFT payments by credit card. Users will be able to make direct card payments through MoonPay. This will facilitate the NFT purchasing process.
A MoonPay spokesperson told The Block that collectors will be able to pay directly via Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Apple Pay, Google Pay, among other methods. Thus, users will not have to convert their money into cryptocurrencies to buy NFT. This move will also support the purchase of NFT by users who do not dominate the crypto market.
MoonPay stated that the feature will be gradually rolled out to user groups. On the other hand,
OpenSea users will still need to keep NFT in their wallets. Meanwhile, MoonPay first launched its NFT exchange service with a credit card in January.
Credit card payment option is thought to be very important for NFTs to reach much wider audiences. As you may recall, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg also announced that Instagram will integrate NFTs into the platform in the next few months.
