Palandoken, SCT Reduction Should Be Made For All Vehicles
Bendevi Palandoken, Chairman of the Turkish Confederation of Tradesmen and Craftsmen (TESK) said, "SCT reduction should be made for all vehicles, especially commercial vehicles, for the revival of the markets."
Bendevi Palandoken, Chairman of the Turkish Confederation of Tradesmen and Craftsmen (TESK), stated that thousands of people will renew their vehicles, especially commercial vehicles, due to their age, and said, ”In order to revive the markets, Special Consumption Tax reduction should be made for all vehicles, especially commercial vehicles. Banks should also reduce interest rates by taking the responsibility for vehicle loans.”
Making a written statement, Palandöken pointed out that the renewal of vehicles requires a much larger cost for the tradesmen, who are going through economically difficult times during the Covid-19 epidemic, and said, "As we have seen in previous years, SCT reduction in vehicle purchases will relieve both the tradesmen and the markets. "
Underlining that the SCT reduction is for the benefit of the state, not to its detriment, Palandoken said:
"Instead of causing damage to the state by creating a deficit in the budget, the SCT reduction will both affect the markets positively with the renewal of the vehicles, and contribute to employment with the increase in production and investments, and support the scrap need of the industry. In fact, supporting this SCT reduction with scrap incentives will reduce our scrap imports and face the industrialists. It will make a positive contribution to the current account deficit while making you laugh."
Stating that the SCT reduction will accelerate automotive production and sales,
Palandoken said, "This reduction should be made for all vehicles, especially commercial vehicles, for the revival of the markets. Banks should also reduce the interest rates by taking responsibility in vehicle loans."
