Gemini, one of the most used
cryptocurrency exchanges in the world, announced a partnership that is very important for the markets today. Gemini, the platform founded by the Winklevoss brothers in 2004 with the copyright lawsuit they carried out against Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, stated that they are cooperating with the payments giant Mastercard to launch a cryptocurrency-friendly credit card.
In the statement made by Mastercard on Twitter and its official website, the following statements were made:
"Today we are announcing our partnership with Gemini to offer a first of its kind cryptocurrency credit card with crypto award. The Gemini Credit Card offers consumers an easy way to earn crypto as a reward without changing their daily spending habits."
The Gemini Credit Card will allow customers to earn up to 3 percent cashback on Bitcoin deposited directly into their Gemini account, or rewards in more than 30 types of cryptocurrencies. The provider of the card will be the Digital credit bank WebBank.
Gemini Credit Card, which is emphasized as the first of its kind in the statement made by Gemini, will award cryptocurrency rewards to users instantly, not monthly. Owners of this card will be able to shop online or at points of sale by identifying the cards to their mobile wallets without waiting for them to physically reach their hands.
