Partnership of
Ripple and MoneyGram ended. Ripple, in the statement made on the official website today, stated that the current partnership agreement with the money transfer company MoneyGram was terminated by the joint decision of the companies.
In the said statement, following statements took place;
“We are proud of the success we have achieved in a short time and the impact we have achieved in bringing the first such product to the market.
Through RippleNet and ODL, we've processed billions of dollars together. We are determined to reconsider our relationship in the future. We still believe in the promise of digital assets and blockchain technology to change the status quo in global payments for the benefit of billions of consumers worldwide.”
Cooperating in 2019, Ripple made a commitment to invest $ 50 million in
MoneyGram as part of this cooperation. Under this agreement, MoneyGram would also use XRP in its services. Although the cooperation continued successfully for a while, MoneyGram withdrew itself following the SEC's lawsuit.
The separation in question did not cause a significant change in XRP prices. The crypto currency continues to be traded at $ 0.47 as of 00:50 TSI.
