According to the published data, the pending housing sales index in the US decreased by 2.2 percent monthly in September and fell to 130.
Decreased in March and April due to the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic; The market forecast for the index, which started to recover with the beginning of May, was to increase by 3.4 percent in September.
The index, which broke the record with a monthly increase of 8.8 percent in August, rose 20.5 percent on an annual basis in September.
Speaking in the statement, NAR Chief Economist Lawrence Yun said that despite the slight decline seen in September, demand for housing continues to be strong.
Stating that this year may be completed with more housing sales compared to last year, Yun noted that more sales are expected with lower housing loan rates.
