Person Who Accidentally Received 200 Bitcoin to His Account Was Found Not Guilty

A person who accidentally received 200 Bitcoin (BTC) in his account in South Korea was found not guilty by the court.

Man living in South Korea accidentally became cryptocurrency rich. The person, whose wallet was sent 200 Bitcoin ($4.16 million), was found not guilty by a branch of the South Korean Supreme Court, which overturned the two previous rulings. The person who sent 200 BTC to his crypto wallet was sentenced to 18 months in prison in a previous case for embezzlement charges and for violating the Aggravated Punishment of Certain Economic Offenses Act. In June 2018, the person to whom 200 BTC was transferred became the owner of 200 BTC as a result of the sender typing the address incorrectly. After the 200 BTC transfer to his wallet, the cryptocurrency investor, who did not make any attempt to return the incoming Bitcoins or find out who made the Bitcoin transfer, transferred the 200 Bitcoins that were sent by mistake to two wallets that he owns. The South Korean Supreme Court delivered its decision in the third hearing. In the decision of the Supreme Court, it was revealed that the person who bought the asset, whose origin is unknown, according to the laws of South Korea, did not violate the law.
