President Erdoğan Announced the Social Housing Project with Details

Making statements regarding the Social Housing Project at Beştepe National Congress and Culture Centre, President Erdoğan explained the details of the project.

"Our citizens will be able to own 2+1 houses with a price of 608 thousand liras with monthly instalments of 2,280 liras," said Erdogan, "3+1 houses with a price of 850 thousand liras can be built with instalments starting from 3,187 liras with a maturity of 240 months." "Our goal is 500 thousand social housing in our 81 provinces and all districts in the period between 2023-2028," said Erdoğan, "250 thousand lands for housing. Land with infrastructure suitable for housing construction. We will build 50 thousand workplaces and present them to our nation."

Here are the details about the project

In 81 provinces, 500 thousand social housing units, 250 thousand land plots suitable for housing construction and 50 thousand workplaces are targeted in a 5-year period covering the years 2023-2028. The project, which is expected to have an investment of approximately 900 billion liras and an economic impact exceeding 2 trillion with a multiplier effect, 50 thousand of the houses within the scope of the social housing project are planned to be built in Istanbul, 18 thousand in Ankara and 12 thousand 500 in Izmir.

• The price of a 2+1 house is 608 thousand TL, and the monthly instalments will start at 2,280 TL.
• The price of 3+1 houses will be 850 thousand TL and monthly instalments will start at 3,187 TL.
• The maturity period can be up to 240 months.
• The maturity period for houses will be 240 months and 10% will be taken in advance.
• The maturity period for the workplaces will be 120 months and the price of the workplaces will be 350 thousand TL and the instalments will start from 2,633 TL.

The number of houses allocated to privileged groups is as follows

• 50,000 houses for young people aged 18-30,
• 12,500  houses for martyrs' relatives and veterans,
• 12,500 houses  for disabled citizens,
• 50,000 houses for retirees,
• The application dates are September 14 to October 31.
