PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC): 'Crypto Investment Will Increase'

According to the Annual Global Crypto Hedge Fund Report by PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), published for the fourth time this year, investments in digital assets by traditional and crypto-focused hedge funds are increasing despite the fluctuations in the sector.

According to the PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) 4th Annual Global Crypto Hedge Fund Report, while volatility in the industry does not prevent traditional hedge funds from investing in crypto assets, more funds are being created for the crypto space with the acceptance of digital assets. PricewaterhouseCoopers (US President of Global Financial Services John Garvey said, "The recent crash in Terra has highlighted potential risks to digital assets. It will continue to fluctuate, but as its market matures, not only is the crypto-focused hedge funds created and assets under management (AuM) increase, the number of traditional funds entering the crypto world will also increase.” It was stated that the number of crypto hedge funds in the crypto market has increased to over 300 globally and the speed of creation of new funds has increased in the past two years. According to the data, there are less than 1% digital assets under the management of the 57% of traditional hedge funds. In addition, it is recorded that 20 percent of these funds are between 5 and 50 percent of digital assets in AuM. However, it is estimated that for two-thirds of these funds, it plans to invest more in digital assets by the end of the year.
