Production in the Japanese Automotive Industry Dropped 20%
The Japanese automotive industry recorded a decline in total global vehicle production in April. It decreased by 20.1 percent compared to this time last year.
Automotive industry representatives stated, semiconductor chip shortages and problems in supply chains due to the coronavirus epidemic were among the main problems of production.
While the total worldwide vehicle production of Japanese automakers in April 2022 decreased by 20.1 percent compared to April 2021 and decreased to 1.66 million, global vehicle production was 54.2 percent in Honda, 49.9 percent in Mazda and
Nissan. 26.5 percent, while Toyota fell 9.1 percent.
In addition, global vehicle production in the same period increased by 63.3 percent in Subaru and 4.1 percent in Daihatsu.
