Putin: ''Our Energy Revenues Are Increasing Despite Sanctions''
Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that despite the sanctions imposed on them after their invasion of Ukraine, they are making good income from energy imports. "Despite the problems that ill-wishers and envious people are trying to create against us, our budget is filling up at the right pace and our oil and gas revenues are increasing," Putin said.
Russian President Vladimir Putin made important statements on the country's economy during a meeting with Danil Yegorov, the head of the Federal Tax Service (FNS) in the capital Moscow. Pointing out that Russia's revenues from energy exports continue to increase, Vladimir Putin said, "Despite the problems that malicious and envious people are trying to create against us, our budget is filling at the right pace, our oil and gas revenues are increasing. What is especially good is that our non-oil and gas revenues are also growing."
Russian President Putin noted that the indicators in the country's economy have stabilized and said, "I think all this shows that economic indicators have stabilized, at least for now. We understand the risks, we see that in the medium term there may be these risks, they have not disappeared, all this is very clear," he added.
Yegorov also underlined that tax revenues in Russia's federal budget increased by 32 percent in the first half of this year compared to the same period last year, reaching 16.9 trillion rubles (about $284 billion). (AA)
