QTerminals from Qatar took over Antalya Port
QTerminals from Qatar took over Antalya Port. The Competition Authority approved the acquisition of the sole control of Ortadoğu Antalya Liman İşletmeleri A.Ş to QTerminals of
Qatar.
Global Ports Holding, a port subsidiary of Global Investment Holding, sold the operating rights of Antalya Port to
QTerminals for 140 million dollars.
Ortadoğu Antalya Liman İşletmeleri (Port Akdeniz) has the right to operate the Antalya Port until August 2028.
Mehmet Kutman, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Global Investment Holding and Global Ports Holding, previously stated that the cruise focus of Global Ports Holding increased with the completion of the sales transaction in line with its strategy.
Kutman said, “Although cruise operations continue to be significantly affected by the coronavirus pandemic, cruise tourism remains important in the long term. In this period, we continue to take advantage of the opportunities we face for the important cruise ports in the world ”.
