Radobank Shared Its USD/TL Forecast

Radobank shared its USD/TL forecast. Rabobank EM FX Strategist Piotr Matys made his TL assessment.

Rabobank EM FX Strategist Piotr Matys shared his dollar/TL forecast with Bloomberg HT. Matys, who participated in the Bloomberg HT publication and explained his evaluations about the Turkish Lira, used the following statements: “Turkey is offering an attractive nominal interest rate and inflation has begun to fall. Real interest rates will become even more attractive. I think there is room for the dollar/TL rate to fall further. 6.80 could be the next level. Of course, the level 7.00 must be broken first. There are speculative capital inflows. They will make it volatile. Turkey does not need short-term investors. It needs investors to keep the capital in Turkey for at least a few months. It needs to make progress and become a bigger player in the global supply chain to attract long-term investors.”   "The 5 Percent Inflation Target is a Very Important Thing ..." Piotr Matys, Rabobank EM FX Strategist, continued as follows: “The goal of the Central Bank to reduce inflation to the 5 percent target is a very important thing. This will create gradual growth. This is not the only thing the Turkish economy needs for a balanced growth. They need a strategy that will cover all sectors and increase competitiveness.
