Rappi Started Accepting Cryptocurrencies
Rappi started accepting cryptocurrencies. It will be possible to order grocery and food products with cryptocurrencies.
Companies from many different fields have started to accept cryptocurrencies as a means of payment. This time, the name that accepts payments in cryptocurrencies is
Rappi, a Colombian delivery app that offers on-demand delivery of food and other goods across Latin America. Rappi has announced that it accepts cryptocurrencies for payments on its services in Mexico.
Colombia-based delivery company Rappi has started working with
cryptocurrency platforms Bitpay and Bitso for its new service. The company also highlighted that it allows users to convert cryptocurrencies into credits for in-app purchases.
Rappi President Sebastian Mejia made the following statement on the subject:
“This is the first step that will allow us to learn and continue to involve the crypto world in Rappi.”
On the other hand, Rappi, which operates in nine countries in Latin America, launched Pay with Rappi in Mexico last year to challenge PayPal and its regional rival MercadoLibre by offering online payments.
