Raw Material Shortage Continues in Fertilizer
Metin Güneş, President of the Fertilizer Producers, Importers and Exporters Association (GÜİD), stated that the problems related to access to raw materials continue to a significant extent.
Metin Güneş, President of Fertilizer Producers, Importers and Exporters Association (GÜİD), participated in Bloomberg HT broadcast and made statements on the agenda. Emphasizing that the problem with access to raw materials continues, President Metin Güneş said, "We are experiencing great difficulties in raw material supply. This is a global crisis and it continues all over the world; because many countries are restricting exports. Commodity and energy cost increases that started with the pandemic brought the issue of food supply and food safety to the fore as a result of the economic crisis that affected the whole world. Therefore, we are experiencing restrictions on raw materials." Güneş said, "When we evaluate it in terms of tonnage, we are working below our potential. In fact, we are trying to do a job that we need to do with fewer workers with our current workers. This creates an extra burden."
