Record Production at Tesla's Shanghai Factory
Electric car maker American company Tesla has decided to stop production at its Shanghai factory due to supply problems. Tesla, which produced 10,757 vehicles in 11 days, broke the record by producing in a single shift before taking the decision to stop.
American giant Tesla announced that they decided to stop production due to supply problems. While the restriction decisions made during the pandemic caused supply problems, Tesla decided to stop production at its facility in Shanghai.
In Tesla Giga Shanghai, 10,757 vehicles were produced in 11 days in a single shift with a limited number of employees. Restriction decisions implemented in Shanghai, the financial city of China, caused movements in the Tesla factory. After a slight break, the Shanghai government allowed production to resume, but the whitelisted businesses had to start operating in a closed-loop system.
Tesla Giga Shanghai produced 10,757 Model Y and Model 3 cars in 11 days, according to the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA). Breaking the record, Tesla demonstrated the hard work of the Chinese team with these figures.
Announcing that it has stopped production due to problems such as supply shortages, the factory has not yet decided when to resume production. Tesla CEO Elon Musk made a statement on the social media platform Twitter,
“Our Tesla China team is great.”
