According to the news in Bloomberg HT, the Italian government has decided to loosen the coronavirus restrictions in five regions, including Lombardy, the richest and most populated region of the country.
The statement in question was made by the
country's Ministry of Health.
According to the decision, Lombardy, Piedmont and Calabria regions will be removed from the regions with the red alert level and included in the orange alarm level. Sicily and Liguria will be on the yellow alert level.
It was reported that the decisions, which will be implemented as of Sunday, were taken after the noticeable decrease in the number of hospitalized cases due to coronavirus (Covid-19) last week. In addition, it was stated that there was a significant decrease in the number of new coronavirus (Covid-19) cases compared to the beginning of November.
As of November 26, the total number of coronavirus (Covid-19) cases in Italy exceeded 1.5 million. The number of people who died due to the new type of coronavirus (Covid-19) epidemic was recorded as 52 thousand 850.
