Ripple Has Joined the Digital Sterling Foundation
Ripple has joined the Digital Sterling Foundation. It was stated that this is part of work with central banks.
The
Ripple company, which has taken serious steps towards the use of XRPLedger in the Middle East and Far East regions and accelerated its efforts for the transition to CBDCs with many central banks in the world, has officially announced that it has joined the Digital British Pound Foundation.
In a statement made by
Ripple, it was stated that the United Kingdom is one of the countries that responsibly leads the development of the crypto-asset sector.
“We are excited to work in partnership with the Digital Sterling Foundation to assist with the design and implementation of the British pound. The Foundation is helping to advance the UK's goal of building a more inclusive and sustainable financial system.”
The organization, originally called the Digital Pound Foundation, founded by a group of private sector professionals, has important members besides Ripple. There are also prominent consulting firm Accenture, decentralized finance protocol Avalanche, blockchain developer Billon Group, and Electroneum and Quant.
To be remembered, in the announcement made by the Bank of England a while ago, it was stated that an agreement was reached to establish working groups within the scope of issuing CBDC. Companies such as PayPal, Visa, Mastercard and ConsenSys took part in the working groups, which were divided into two as the Participation and Technology Forum.
