Rise in the Stock Market Slowed Down
The rise in the BIST 100 index, which started on Wednesday with an increase and saw 1.553 points during the day, slowed down.

BIST 100 index, which started the new day with gain and reached the level of 1.553, slowed down.
The index closed the day at 1.531 points level with 0.15 percent gain in value.
While bond returns, which have been on the agenda in global markets for a while, have a disruptive effect on the risk appetite in the stock markets, Borsa Istanbul was also affected by this situation. While the US 10-year bond interest rate was testing 1.48 percent today, the dollar indicators were also positive.
The rising momentum in the dollar also affected the USD/TL exchange rate and the exchange rate was over 7.45.
While a horizontal course was observed in the banking index in Borsa Istanbul, the industrial index closed the day with gains.
In the statement made by Borsa İstanbul, it was noted that the general assembly will be held on March 26.
Inflation data which was announced today, was on the agenda of domestic markets. The annual increase in consumer prices was 15.61 percent above expectations. The figures indicated that the upward momentum in producer prices continued. Producer prices increased by 27.09 percent on an annual basis in February.
Data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (
TURKSTAT) pointed out that the gap between consumer prices and producer prices continued to widen on an annual basis. Accordingly, the difference between producer inflation in February and consumer inflation tested the highest level since January 2019.
