Rothschild Tripled Its GBTC Shares
Rothschild tripled its GBTC shares. Rothschild Investment continues to invest in Bitcoin through Grayscale.
The Chicago-based company, which is stated to have no ties to the famous Rothschild family, tripled the number of GBTC shares as of the second quarter of 2021. The number of shares, which was 38 thousand 346 in the previous quarter, increased to 141 thousand 405.
Ethereum Fund Also Invested
Grayscale's
Ethereum (ETHE) fund has also been invested, according to the company's statement to the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). The figure in this fund increased from 265 thousand to 279 thousand. According to SEC filings, the company has an investment of $4.2 million in GBTC stock and $6.2 million in ETHE stock. When Grayscale's site was entered, it was observed that both funds are currently closed.
Grayscale CEO Michael Sonnenshein announced a new product in a broadcast he attended yesterday, saying that the company will launch its second “diversified investment product”. Sonnenshein also announced that the SEC will sooner or later accept applications for Bitcoin ETFs.
