Russia has extended the flight restriction to Turkey. The restriction was extended to 21 June.
Russia's coronavirus crisis center has announced that the flight restriction to Turkey will continue until June 21.
According to the news presented by the Tass agency, the "serious coronavirus situation" in Turkey was cited as the reason for the decision. In the statement in question, it was stated that the same decision was taken for Tanzania.
Russia limited reciprocal flights with Turkey between April 15 and June 1 on the grounds that the number of coronavirus cases in Turkey increased, and decided to make only two flights a week by the Russian airline company Aeroflot and
Turkish Airlines.
According to the news of Tass news agency, Russia stated that as of June 10, it will increase the number of regular weekly flights with Greece, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Qatar, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Egypt and Serbia. The country will resume regular flights to the UK as of June 2.
