Russia wants Chinese crypto miners! An association in Russia announced the project it started.
In Russia, an association built on cryptocurrency and blockchain has launched a project to bring global cryptocurrency mining operations to the country amid China's crackdown on
cryptocurrency miners.
The Russian Association of Cryptoeconomics, Artificial Intelligence and Blockchain (RACIB) explains that they aim to transfer global computing resources to the Russian Federation for cryptocurrency mining. RACIB spokesperson stated in an interview that the project will contribute to Russia economically.
In the announcement made by
RACIB, it was stated that RACIB cooperated closely with Russian government officials and state institutions and formed a series of joint working groups with local government structures to promote and implement the project.
Working on Eco-Mining Project
The association also said it is working on an "eco-mining" project to build mining farms and data centers powered by renewable electricity sources.
It was also informed that the association is trying to establish cryptocurrency mining operations based on green energy sources such as wind-based power plants, in addition to Russia's rich hydro and nuclear-based energy.
