Russian energy giant Gazprom announced that the flow of natural gas from the Nord Stream pipeline will be stopped for 3 days from August 31 due to the maintenance of a single compressor unit.
A statement came from the Russian energy company. Gazprom noted that the only gas compressor unit at the Portovaya compressor station is undergoing scheduled technical maintenance and repair work.
The maintenance and work process will be carried out jointly with Siemens specialists. The company statement said,
"For technical maintenance on August 31-September 2, gas deliveries through the Nord Stream pipeline will be suspended for 3 days."
In case the work is completed and there are no technical malfunctions in the unit, gas deliveries will be restored to 33 million cubic meters per day, the statement added.
