According to this report, retail sales in the 19-member eurozone fell 11.2 percent in March compared to February and 9.2 percent compared to the last period of last year.
Retail sales in the European Union (EU) fell 10.4 percent in March compared with the previous month and 8.4 percent compared to the same period of 2019.
Among European Union countries, the largest decline in retail sales in March compared to the previous month was in Bulgaria with 18.1 percent, followed by France with 17.4 percent and Luxembourg with 16.4 percent.
