Solana Is Facing Poor Performance Issues

Solana network is facing poor performance issues. Two out of four problems with the network in the past few months have occurred this week. Solana blockchain faced its second network performance degradation event this week. According to Solana, this issue is due to the increase in high computational operations. As a result, network capacity, originally advertised as 50,000 transactions per second (TPS), has been reduced to a few thousand TPS. Solana stated that this is why users encounter unsuccessful transactions and added that their developers are working to fix the problems. Many of the users claimed that the incident on Tuesday was caused by a DDoS attack. Anatoly Yakovenko, the co-founder of Solana, responded to the allegations on Twitter, saying it was simply a "problem caused by the commercialization of a new runtime." Cyber ​​Capital chief investment officer Justin Bons expressed his disapproval of Solana and posted a series of tweets outlining his reasons for not supporting the project. Bons claims that Solana "consistently displays a pattern of bad behavior" and "prioritizes attracting ignorant investors." Bons also criticized the security of the network, noting that DDoS attacks are not the only concern. He said that DDoS can be combined with a 51% attack. Justin Bons claims that attackers "can temporarily gain proportional share control over the network by attacking other stakeholders." Solana co-founder Anatoly Yakovenko described it as "a tiring bullshit", adding that "it's impossible to give a private key to DDoS."
