According to the information compiled by AA correspondent, while the sports index in Borsa Istanbul gained 92.2 percent in 2020, 4 sports companies brought profits to their investors. Positive news about the new type of coronavirus (Covid-19) epidemic, the resumption of the Super League, which was postponed in the 2019-2020 season, the transfers made by the clubs and the developments regarding the restructuring of their debts positively reflected on the share performance of sports companies throughout the year. Analysts noted that despite negative factors such as the coronavirus epidemic, poor financial structures of clubs, increased debt, and loss statements, sports companies performed successfully in stock markets throughout the year. Fenerbahçe Futbol AŞ became the sports company that earned the most to its investors with a 104.3 percent premium in 2020. Analysts stated that Fenerbahçe's claim in the league continued and that the transfers made by the club also positively affected the share performance. The shares of Galatasaray Sportif Sınai ve Ticaret Investments gained 99.5 percent in 2020. Analysts said that Galatasaray had a successful season in the field and reflected its successful performance on the stock market. The shares of Trabzonspor Sportif Yatırım ve Futbol gained 90 percent in 2020. Analysts stated that Trabzonspor had the best period of the last 9 seasons by completing the 2019-2020 season in the second place, although it did not take place at the top this season, its performance reflected positively on its shares. Beşiktaş Futbol Yatırımları Sanayi ve Ticaret AŞ, on the other hand, earned its investors 64.9 percent in 2020. Beşiktaş was the sports company that brought the most to its investors last month. In the mentioned period, Beşiktaş's shares increased by 23.2 percent and Galatasaray's shares by 7.4 percent. In December, the shares of Trabzonspor lost 3.7 percent and Fenerbahçe's shares lost 10.6 percent. Fenerbahçe had the highest market value among the four public sports companies, completed 2020 with a market value of 2 billion 925 million 848 thousand 800 liras. Fenerbahçe was followed by Galatasaray with a market value of 2 billion 187 million TL, Trabzonspor with a market value of 1 billion 220 million TL and Beşiktaş with a market value of 969 million 600 thousand TL.     Source: AA
