Statement from Kremlin; Erdoğan and Putin Conversed on the phone
Moscow Kremlin Palace noted that President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Russian President Vladimir Putin had a conversation on the phone.
The Kremlin Palace stated that
Russian President Vladimir Putin and President Tayyip Erdogan had a phone conversation about Ukraine. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters that a detailed explanation of the meeting would be announced later.
United Nations (UN) Secretary General Antonio Guterres was received by President of Turkey in Ankara yesterday.
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan stated, "We met with Mr. Guterres. We have comprehensively evaluated the current situation and the steps that can be taken. First, we are taking all kinds of steps for a ceasefire and lasting peace. We will meet with Putin tomorrow. We are continuing our talks to end the war."
In addition, it was announced that Guterres will go to Moscow today and discuss the issue of peace in Ukraine with Russian Leader Putin.
