Statement from the Turkish Grain Board; 'Sack of Flour Will Increase to 400 TL'
President of IAOM Eurasia, Dr. Eren Günhan Ulusoy noted that the price of bread will increase with the end of the regulation implemented by TMO since November 2021 as of 31 May. He stated that the bag of flour, which is 260 liras, will now be bought at a price of around 400 lira, with a rough calculation, considering the current market prices.
Eurasia President of International Flour Industrialists and Grains Association (IAOM) Dr. Eren Günhan Ulusoy noted that in the Smart Agriculture program, flour, which has a bag price of 260 TL, will be offered for sale at an average of 400 TL after 31 May. Günhan Ulusoy stated that TMO will increase the prices with the end of the regulation and gave the following explanations: "The commitment given in return for the wheat allocated from the "Town Crops Office" expires as of today. In other words, as of May 31, the commitment of flour industrialists to sell these products for 260 TL ends. The statements made by TMO and the expectation of market players are that such an application will not occur in the season. The flour sack, which is equivalent to 260 TL at a price of 3600 TL per ton, will increase to roughly 400 TL according to our calculations based on the prices traded in the Stock Exchanges today.”İLGİLİ HABERLER
