Borsa Istanbul, the BIST 100 index gained 1.28 percent and closed the day with 1.370.70 points.
At the end of the day, the BIST 100 index increased by 17.34 points compared to the previous closing, and the total transaction volume was recorded as 30.6 billion liras. BIST 100 index closed the all-time high with 1,370.70 points, and carried its highest record for the day to 1,371.00 points.
At the closing, the banking index gained 0.79 percent, while the holding index gained 1.25 percent. Among the industry indices, metal was the main industry with 5.08 percent, while the biggest loss was on forest, paper and printing with 1.45 percent. On the other hand, BIST Industrial index broke a record.
Stating that Brexit uncertainty and the decreases in European stock markets and the upward trend in exchange rates limited the purchases in the share markets during the day, the analysts said that the BIST 100 index rose again after the decrease in exchange rates.
Industrial production in the coming weeks domestically, "2021 Monetary and Exchange Rate Policy" text which will be announced by the Republic of Turkey Central Bank of Turkey (CBRT) will be monitored by the analysts along with the CBRT Expectations Survey data, while abroad, the US Federal Reserve (Fed), the Bank of England (BoE) The Bank of Japan (BoJ) announced that the intense data agenda will be followed, especially in industrial production in China and the Purchasing Managers Index (PMI) to be announced worldwide.
In technical terms, analysts stated that the level of 1.390 in the
BIST 100 index is in the position of resistance and 1.320 points in the support position.
