Stock Market Broke a Record In The First Half The stock market broke a record in the first half of the day. Record level news does not fall from the stock market agenda. BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul gained 0.75 percent in the first half of the day and reached 1,405.91 points. The highest level record for the index was moved to 1,409.78 points. In the first half of the day, the BIST 100 index was rising and by 1 pm, it increased by 10.52 points compared to the closing and became 1,405.91 points. The total transaction volume was recorded as 14.8 billion liras. In the first half of the day, the banking index gained 0.64 percent, while the holding index gained 1.13 percent. Among the sector indices, transportation was the most profitable with 2.94 percent, while trade was the most declining with 0.80 percent. Starting the day BIST 100 index, again with records, with the comments of Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT) President Naci Ağbal’s "Monetary and Exchange Rate Policy for the Year 2021" in his presentation, at the launch reached 1409.78 points, the highest level of all time. Analysts reminded that the US Federal Reserve's (FED) interest rate decision, the US manufacturing industry Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI), retail sales data will be followed, and emphasized that the messages of FED Chairman Jerome Powell will be determinant on the direction of the markets. It was also said that the FED is not expected to make any changes in interests and asset purchases. On the technical side, analysts stated that in the BIST 100 index, 1.440 points are in the resistance position and 1.320 is in the support position.
