The stock market broke a record in the first half of the day. In Borsa Istanbul, the BIST 100 index gained 0.84 percent in the first half of the day and saw 1.553.51 points. In addition, the BIST 100 index brought its highest level record to 1.554.88 points. BIST 100 index, which started the day with a decline, fluctuated in the first half of the day. At around 1 pm, the BIST 100 index increased by 12.90 points compared to its previous closing and reached the level of 1.553.51. The total transaction volume was recorded as 15.7 billion liras. In the first half of the day, the banking index lost 0.90 percent, while the holding index gained 0.50 percent. Among the industry indices, mining was the most profitable with 6.34 percent, and the only decline was on banking. Although it started the day with a decline, the BIST 100 index carried its highest level record to 1.554.88 points. Analysts said that the news of US President Donald Trump's dismissal, the elected US President Joe Biden's talk of trillions of dollars in financial incentives, and the upward trend in the dollar index prompted a search for direction in the markets. In technical terms, analysts stated that 1.580 points are in resistance and 1.470 points are in support position in the BIST 100 index.
