The stock market closed the day with a decrease on October 28. In
Borsa Istanbul, the
BIST 100 index lost 0.22 percent and closed the day with 1,126.99 points.
In the BIST 100 index, which decreased by 25.64 points compared to its previous closing, the total transaction volume was recorded as 9.5 billion liras.
At the closing, the banking index lost 0.55 percent, while the holding index fell 1.25 percent. Among the sector indices, the SME Industry was the most profitable with 3.46 percent, while the highest loss was recorded on communication with 3.62 percent.
Due to the 29 October Republic Day, continuous auction transactions took place in the stock markets until 12:30, and the closing session was held between 12.30-12.40.
Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT) President Murat Uysal, with the speech at 2020’s 4th Inflation Report Disclosure, stated that they anticipate inflation to be 12.1 percent at the end of 2020, and after declining to 9.4 percent at the end of 2021, it will stabilize at the level of 5 percent in the medium term.
Stating that the third quarter financial results, which started to be announced, led to an increase in stock and sector-based transactions, analysts reported that the domestic markets were closed in the afternoon and tomorrow due to the Republic Day.
It was stated that the intensive data agenda, especially the European Central Bank’s interest rate decisions of the Bank of Japan and the growth in the USA, will be monitored tomorrow.
In technical terms, analysts stated that 1.118 levels are in the support and 1.155 points are in the resistance position for BIST 100 index.
