At the end of the day, the total transaction volume in the BIST 100 index, which decreased by 8.86 points compared to the previous closing, was recorded as 23.3 billion lira. At the closing, the banking index lost 1.32 percent in value, while the holding index fell 0.69 percent. Among the industry indices, the SME industry was the most earning industry with 4.14 percent, while mining was the most declining with 2.20 percent. Analysts stated that the lack of positive news about the new type of coronavirus (Covid-19) vaccine, increasing the measures due to increasing cases from Europe and the stalemate of the stimulus package in the USA reduced the global risk appetite, geopolitical developments kept their place in the focus of the agenda. In addition, analysts reminded that expectation survey statistics and housing price index will be monitored in the country tomorrow and that the data agenda, especially industrial production in the USA and inflation in the Euro Zone, will be monitored abroad. In technical terms, analysts stated that 1,200 points are observed as resistance in the BIST 100 index, and 1,150 points are in the support position if it falls below 1,180 points.
