The stock market closed the day with a record. In
Borsa Istanbul, the BIST 100 index gained 0.63 percent and closed the day at 1.559.28 points. BIST 100 index, which closed at the highest level of all time, brought its highest level record to 1.567.88 points.
At the end of the day, the BIST 100 index increased by 9.75 points compared to the previous closing, and the total transaction volume was recorded as 36.7 billion liras.
At the closing, the banking index gained 0.12 percent, while the holding index gained 1.71 percent. Among the industry indices, the highest earning was on textile with 2.69 percent, while sports were the most declining with 4.95 percent.
After the announcement of the industrial production index data, which was above the expectations today, the BIST 100 index hit a record level with 1.567.88 points.
Analysts stated that the US Federal Reserve (FED) Open Market Committee members emphasized the importance of fiscal incentives in their speeches yesterday evening and declared that the FED will continue its expansionary policy, and noted that Joe Biden, who was elected as the President of the United States, supported the stock markets with the expected fiscal stimulus package tomorrow.
Analysts stating that home sales statistics, weekly money and bank statistics will be monitored domestically tomorrow, while US Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell's speech, European Central Bank minutes, foreign trade balance in China, growth in Germany, along with an intense data agenda, especially weekly unemployment claims in the US, will be monitored abroad.
In technical terms, analysts stated that 1.580 points are in resistance position and 1.500 points are in support position in the
BIST 100 index.
