Stock market closed with a record on December 22. BIST 100 index in
Borsa Istanbul increased by 1.48 percent and ended the day with 1,404.97 points. It broke the record with 1,410.82 points.
At the end of the day, the BIST 100 index increased by 20.54 points compared to the previous closing, and the total transaction volume was recorded as 28.2 billion liras.
At the closing, the banking index gained 1.89 percent, while the holding index gained 2.01 percent. Among the industry indices, metal was the main industry with 5.30 percent, while the biggest loss was on forest, paper and printing with 2.97 percent.
During the day, BIST 100 broke a record with 1,410.82 points.
It was reported that the news about the new type of coronavirus (Covid-19) epidemic and the mutation of the coronavirus kept its place on the agenda.
Stating that the expectations regarding the support package in the USA have supported the markets so far, analysts stated that after the realized expectations, focus will be turned to data and news regarding the economic activity.
Indicating that the domestic data agenda is stagnant tomorrow, analysts noted that abroad data on personal income and expenditures, consumer confidence index and new home sales in the USA will be followed.
In technical terms, it was reported that 1,410 points reached the resistance position in the
BIST 100 index, and the levels 1,350 and 1,320 came to the fore as support.
