Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT) has not changed its policy interest rate at the MPC meeting today and kept it constant at 17 percent. In addition, while it was stated in the text of the decision that strict policies would continue, the dollar/TL rate dropped to the level of 7.3497 after the decision. Analysts stated that after Joe Biden took the presidency in the US, the positive trend in the global stock markets was dominant with the increasing expectations for economic stimulus packages. The analysts stated that the evaluation of Turkey to be made by the international credit rating agency Standard & Poor's will be monitored domestically tomorrow, and that the data agenda, especially the manufacturing industry Purchasing Managers Index (PMI), which will be announced worldwide, will be followed abroad. In technical terms, analysts stated that the 1.590 level is in the resistance position and the 1.540 level is in the support position for the BIST 100 index.
